Hi, my name’s Rob!  I’m 20 years old.  I have a lot of interests and I like to share them with other people.  This blog is a reflection of that.  I really respect and love all different kinds of people, and I’ve discovered that paradoxically I love meeting new people despite being terrified of meeting new people.

I consider myself gay, but I’m also identifying more and more as queer.  I’m vegan because I love animals.  I am an amateur drag queen in the sense that I enjoy doing make up and using drag as a means of expressing myself through art (photography, poetry, and film).  If it isn’t obvious, I’m a huge advocate for LGBTQ* rights and I will always fight for social justice.

I cherish herbalism, tea, natural medicine, and great food.  I’m somewhat of a hippie at heart, and I kinda want to live a non-traditional life in many aspects, which has partially led to the strange mess of a person that I am today.  There are days where I think I just want to be a nomad and wander the country, taking pictures and writing about my travels.  That seems ideal.

I have a passion for foreign languages, especially French.  I love to draw, paint, and make art.  I love to cook and bake.  Yoga and meditation are two things I’ve been welcoming in my life lately.  I don’t really know what kind of career I wish to pursue, but I know that I love to write, and I am definitely inspired to write for the rest of my life.  Publishing some novels is definitely a life goal and dream.  I also like toying with the idea of owning an organic, vegan café one day and making it the chillest/hippest place ever, you know, the kind of place that attracts a lot of hipster and indie kids, and is a safe haven for LGBTQ+* and discriminated persons.  It will be a place where we can all come together and celebrate humanity.

I dream of living in California, and I am hoping soon that the dream comes to fruition.  I love a lot of different types of music.  I regularly listen to Gaga, Florence + the Machine, Marina & the Diamonds, Lights, Beach House, M83, Passion Pit, Washed Out, Rise Against, Sigur Ros, Ellie Goulding, and Lana del Rey, but that is not even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my musical tastes.  As far as music goes, I would love to learn how to play the guitar or piano so I can start writing my own stuff, just for fun.  I like the simple joy of being able to create something.

I love creating.  I’ve come to terms with the fact that I would choose a life of art and poverty over a life of misery and riches.  I follow the heartlines on my hands, mostly, and go with the flow.
